Winners of $50,000 Home Makeover Announced

They’re really about to have all the fun: Five people just won a $50,000 home makeover.

We announced in June that we would giveaway more than $400,000 in prizes to celebrate the grand opening of our flagship store in Cincinnati.

That included one $50,000 home makeover prize in every market that Watson’s operates stores in, for a total of $250,0000 across the Midwest.

Thousands of people entered online or in store. One winner per market was drawn randomly and called in July.

“We thought it was a prank call,” said Anthony Banks, the winner in the St. Louis area. “We were so excited when we realized it wasn’t!”

Cheryl Greenfield of Trenton, Ohio, said she was shell shocked.

“I’ve never won anything like this, and it’s really making a dream come true,” she said.

Each winner will be able to work with an in-store design consultant and choose from Watson’s wide selection of products — indoor furniture, outdoor furniture, pools, spas and home recreation.

The giveaway comes as Watson’s celebrates its 50th year in business, launched a new website and expanded its flagship store in Cincinnati to 100,000 square feet.

“This is our way of thanking customers for everything they’ve done for us over the years,” CEO Erik Mueller said.

“Our mission is always to help you dream about how to enhance all of the different spaces inside and outside your home — and now we can help make those dreams come true.”
