Natural Swimway is a simple one-step system that cleans and protects your hot tub adding years to the life of your investment. This Natural Swimway manual has been prepared as a step by step guide to enjoy clean, healthy water. Your Natural Swimway retailer will be pleased to answer any questions regarding specific or unusual problems. Just bring a sample of your Natural Swimway water to your retailer for a complete analysis at no charge.

START UP INSTRUCTIONS for use with sanitizing powder kit

1. Drain hot tub completely after running spa clean to purge lines in older tubs. Run garden hose for 60 seconds before filling the tub with fresh tap water. For new tubs: Run garden hose for 60 seconds before fi lling the tub with fresh tap water.

2. Balance tub water including Alkalinity, PH and total hardness.

3. Shake the bottle of Natural Swimway to mix the solution. Pour the correct amount of Natural Swimway (as indicated in the manual) into the water.

4. Turn on the jets for a minimum of 2 minutes to activate the Natural Swimway water care system.

5. Add one tsp of granules directly to the water and with jets running. Chlorine reading should be 1.5 – 3 ppm.

6. After each use of the hot tub add one half tsp of granules directly to the water and with jets running. If the tub is not in regular use this amount can be reduced to one tsp of granules at least once a week.

7. Rinse filter once a week to ensure total sanitation and clean your filter with filter clean once a month.
 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILTER CLEAN

1. Remove and rinse filter, then fill a bucket with warm water.

2. Add 2 filter cleaner tablets and submerge filter in the bucket for one hour (if your filter is heavily soiled you may need to leave the filter submerged for up to 24 hours).

3. Remove filter after one hour and rinse in the upright position with a strong stream of tap water.

 

ONGOING WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

Repeat steps 2 - 7 on a set day, every week. MONTHLY

1. Have water sample taken to your retailer for water balance and hardness testing.

2. Clean your filter with filter cleaner per directions.

Troubleshooting
 

The Natural Swimway system ensures pure, clean water and releases old dirt, calcium and scale build up from pipes and equipment inside your hot tub. This process may cause water to appear cloudy during the first few weeks of use. Continue using product as directed; after this process is repeated 2 or 3 times, your water will be clear, clean and free of any greasy or slimy feeling.

SUGGESTIONS:

• purchase an additional fi lter element and rotate fi lters regularly

• take a simple shower before taking a hot tub bath

• do not use oil-based salts or smelling agents

• ensure 8 hour per day circulation programming

• after big bather load (party) check Alkalinity as it may drop

• after heavy bathing loads, add Spa Shock

SPA SAFETY

• To avoid possible health hazard to users, never heat spa water above 104° F (40°C). The spa use should be limited to 15 minute intervals to avoid nausea.

• Do not enter a spa under the infl uence of alcohol or medication that could cause drowsiness. If you are on medication consult a doctor before using the spa.

• Because of high water temperatures, pregnant women and small children should use caution.

• Do not use electricity near the water. Example: radios or hairdryers.

• Hot water is an ideal medium for spreading infection. People with open wounds should not use the spa.

• Always enter and leave the spa with caution.

CHEMICAL SAFETY


• Read the directions carefully.

• ALWAYS add chemicals to water, NEVER add water to the chemicals.

• Do not mix chemicals together. Add chemicals one at a time. Rinse out and dry the measuring cup before the addition of the next chemical.

• Store chemicals in a cool, dry place — out of reach of children.

• In case of contact or if chemical is swallowed, follow safety instructions below.

• Do not smoke near chemicals.

• Keep the container closed when not in use

• If bottle is empty, discard in trash or offer for recycling if available.

• Safety: Keep out of reach of children. Do not ingest.

• First aid: If swallowed in undiluted solution, drink large amounts of water. Avoid alcohol and do not induce vomiting. In case of accident or illness, seek medical attention immediately.
