Keep your water sparkling clean by adding 11 oz. of this product per 10,000 gallons of water, at least once a week, especially during excessive heat, when bathing loads are high, when water becomes dull looking or hazy, when there is a chlorine like smell or excessive eye irritation, or after heavy rains.
Recommended Dosage: Initially the pool should be treated with repeated dosages of 1 to 1.5 oz. of this product for each 10,000 gallons of pool water to satisfy the chlorine demand of the water. 1 oz. of this product per 10,000 gallons of water will apply approximately 0.5 ppm available chlorine. To maintain a desired level of 1.5 to 2.0 ppm of chlorine residual, add 1 to 1.5 oz. of this product for each 10,000 gallons of water daily or as needed. Once every two weeks a shock dose of 5 ppm of chlorine should be made to prevent development of resistant species of algae.
Wading Pools: Initially the pool should be treated with repeated dosages of this product, 1 tsp. per 500 gallons. Repeated dosages may be necessary to satisfy the chlorine demand of the water. 1 tsp. per 500 gallons is equivalent 2 ppm of available chlorine. Maintain chlorine levels of ppm to about 2 ppm or 3 ppm.
How to Figure Pool Capacity in Round Pools
Diameter X Diameter X Average Depth ( figure in feet) X 5.9 = Capacity in Gallons
| Pool Size | /Appx. Cap. | /Dosage |
| 5’x12’ | 125 gals | .25 tsp. |
| 6’x15’ | 250 gals | .5 tsp. |
| 8’x15’ | 500 gals | 1 tsp. |
| 10’x20’ | 1000 gals | 2 tsp. |
To maintain a chlorine residual between 1 ppm and 3 ppm, add this product at the rate of .5 tsp. per 500 gallons when chlorine residual drops to 1 ppm. To use, broadcast granules into water, allow granules to dissolve before using pool. Keep pH of water between 7.2 and 7.6. Use a test kit for chlorine and pH control. Reentry into treated swimming pool is prohibited above levels of 3 ppm of chlorine.
