Swimming Pool Chlorinators
Swimming Pool Chlorinators or Chlorine dispensers are a floating device used to release slow dissolve tablets into a swimming pool. They come in many shapes and sizes and can be adjusted to control how much chlorine gets released. Automatic chlorinators or chlorine feeders automatically deliver an exact amount of chlorine into a pool whenever the filter is running. Automatic chlorine feeders are always installed after water has been pumped through the filter and heater (if there is one). Automatic feeders use slow dissolve tablets of any size or, more effectively, a sealed cartrige with 1/2oz. slow tabs inside to further control the rate of release. The device has a control dial which can be higher or lower to also control release rates. These chlorinators are durable, corrosion resistant, and help make chlorinating a pool more cost efficient. Some feeders, like the Aqua Smarte System, use a silver mineral reservoir, which when wet also helps sanitize pool water, to reduce chlorine demand in a pool from 1.5 to 3.0 parts per million down to .5 to 1.0 ppm, reducing eye irritation, bleaching of liners and chlorine corrosion of motor and filter parts.
