Black Algaecide
DESCRIPTION:
Black Algaecide is a super concentrated, non-foaming, poymeric quaternary compound (Poly-Quat) that is highly effective against most types of algae, especially green, brown, and black.
JOB FUNCTION:
Black Algaecide is used to control the growth of algae in swimming pools. For maximum effectiveness, pools containing heavy growth of algae should be cleaned prior to using black algaecide. (See STEPS TO KILL ALGAE).
Highly concentrated. For maintenance to prevent algae, add 6 oz per 10,000 gallons, or, for visible algae, add 11 oz per 10,000 gallons.
- Effective at various water qualities
- Compatible with chlorine and other pool chemicals.
- Can reduce the amount of chlorine needed to normally kill algae alone.
APPLICATION:
INITIAL TREATMENT (VISIBLE ALGAE)
- Add 11-17 oz per 10,000 gallons directly to pool
MAINTENANCE:
- Add 6 oz per 10,000 gallons directly to pool. Subsequently, add 2-4 oz every 5-7 days.
TIP:
To effectively kill black algae, follow STEPS TO KILL ALGAE. With black algae, brushing is the most important step other than the chemicals. To completely rid the pool of black algae following these steps, it will take about 7-14 days. If black algae appears consistently in isolated areas of the pool, check and correct poor circulation patterns.
